My Review of the Winnebago Brave Motor Home

Cee Belair
If you're looking at investing in a motor home, I have to recommend you look at the Winnebago Brave.

It is a mid-size motor home, easy enough to drive yet long enough to accommodate enough people inside and give plenty of room to move around. It also mid-range in price, and is by a well-known brand that is familiar to most people.

Winnebago has been around for several years and make a good quality product. It is true that you will find a cheaper motor home, but you want a brand that you will trust. Buying one is a long-term investment, as loans can be taken out for up to 15 years. Manufacturers that are newer to the market, and might not have the quality have made some of the newer and more economical motor homes.

Our Winnebago Brave is on a Workhorses chassis, which is a good, strong quality and made for towing capabilities. If you are going to own your motor home for a long time, you want to make sure it will withstand the test of time. Winnebago also includes well-known brands such as Onan for a generator, and Norcold for a refrigerator. Samsung is the typical microwave oven brand as well.

I opted for a 30-foot motor home, to sleep our family of 5 comfortably. It has a queen size bed, as well as a fold down dining room table to sleep two. The couch will also fold down to sleep another two. The kitchen is decent, considering the room you have to work with, and the bathroom is not as cramped as some motor homes might be. There is a shower, although a tall person might have to duck a bit! The length of the motor home was important, as it is an easy navigate-able length, but not too short to allow our comforts inside. It has incredibly room underneath as well. The "basement" compartments are a large size, with large doors to make sliding things in and out easy. Some of the newer brands have small doors in which you have to fight to get things to fit in the right way.

We wanted a brand we could trust, and after looking at several motor homes and comparing prices, we decided to go with a brand that has its name and reputation behind it. Being one of the oldest brands, we knew that chances are they won't be fading away too quickly.

We have just bought a 2003 Winnebago Brave. I have some questions about our RV and would like to find other people on line who may be able to answer them.
