My Room - A Poem

RipDiction
There's a big old world out there and I want no part of it.
Just want to sit in my room alone, my solice thwarts a hissy fit.
The sun rises and falls just another day,
Sometimes this big old world (like me) has nothing to say.
It speaks and when it does it is all death and war,
Speculates on motive of killers as by the shovel we fill...
The graves, the ground, the sickness all around.
The night, the light, the malicious hide in plain sight.
And they stalk, and they prey, in revelations dismal day...
and I sit, in my room, and ponder ever present doom
of the big old world outside my room.

I have so been there. There's a lot of darkness in the world and there was a time it paralyzed me.

Well JL, the problem with that is those types of political moves tend to lean toward a totalitarian type of scenario in the long run with a new world order kind of theory seeming more a reality than a paranoid state of mind. The people cannot control the government been out of our hands for years but people can persuade others not to fall for the ploys of government.

This is a good contemplative poem of the current climate of the world. What do you think about the EU trying to elect a president for all of Europe? The Irish keep holding out because they remember what happened that last time someone tried to rule all of Europe. These are strange days indeed.

We all need that special place. Well done!
