Today I've been silent
I had a good vision
Then ran with this idea
Like a man on a mission
To promote all our Limericks
That's what I should do
And so I sat myself down
And worked on Squidoo
A lens I'm creating
With Limericks unique
I thought for Saint Pats
This would be up the right street
The lens will have Limericks
That I wrote on here
And with your permission
Yours too will appear
Each will have a link
To it's page on AC
And if my plan works
More traffic we'll see
It's still not yet finished
Just give me a day
And then all of our Limericks
Will be up on display
Meanwhile if you think
You would like me to add
Your Limericks too
That would make me real glad
So send me a message
To say "go ahead"
And when I get time
Your rhymes will get read
Our collection of Limericks
So proudly will say
Have a good laugh on us
Happy Saint Patricks Day
I don't want to publish anything that was marked as exclusive to AC or that someone did not want to be added elsewhere, so if you woudl like me to consider your Limericks for addition to this lens, please send me a message on AC.
I am assuming that this is not against TOS in any way, since I am requesting permission and linking back to the original pages on AC for each Limerick.
My hope is that this will give a lot more exposure to the wonderful Limericks that have been written in the last few weeks.

Post a CommentI did a blarney poem too and it didn't get much pvs last year!
Great idea Tony! Too bad I haven't written any limericks! :-(
Well I was lucky tonight and the quality of my internet connection picked up enough for me to add a number of Limericks to my lens and to publish it. The link is under "Resources" at the end of this article. I hope this helps to get more attention paid to your Limericks and other Irish Verses. If you would like me to add anything of yours, just send me a message.
Very generous idea Tony. I hope it works very well indeed.
Thanks, looks like I will have some great material to pull from.
