alone and afraid of the shadows,
cast on the walls by the humans
standing near the gallows.
My knife hidden inside my cloak
a sudden thrust i gave to my wrist
dripping as it may ....the rope gave way
and fell on the grassy morning mist.
Horses sniffed as I sawed along
"humph fat pompous asses of the judge"
my life, my impudent death song
dripping and pouring the mile trudge.
Soon I approached those death shadows
whispering amongst themselves so proper,
with a flask shot to warm the bones
leaving the after taste of copper.
"She Bleeds!! She Bleeds!!"
the woman's cry echoed in the alleys
as my step slows... to a crawling speed
knees hit the ground.. of my death valley.
Rushing fools speaking of ropes
my scarlet letter has worn me down
my life seeps out as I abandon hopes
my lover is no where around.
Alone i passed threw golden gates
as my body was shrouded and tied.
a crown was placed upon my head
as though I had never lied .
Why am i given the crown of gold?
the letter is on my chest,
"Aaaahhh, man has silly ways these days
of putting women to the test!"
