My Seven Favorite Animated Films

Seven Animated Classics

All dogs go to heaven- I recently discovered that this is my favorite animated film ever. For a very long time it was 'The Lion King', but after I watched it again I couldn't deny it. The scene where the little girl is walking around yelling 'Charlie' gets me every time. Such an amazing me, way ahead of it's time.

The Lion King- Oh my what can I say, The King still reigns supreme. This is one of the few movies that almost brought me to tears. I felt bad for not crying too, because everyone in the theater around me was balling their eyes out. This is definitely my second favorite animated film, long live the King.

An American Tail: Fievel Goes West - This movie will always have a special place in my heart. As a kid I would watch this movie everyday. I lost it when I moved and I haven't seen it in many years, but I can still recite it line for line. They should really do an anniversary edition and re-release it again, so it can appeal to the new generation too.

Toy Story- 'Toy Story' gets my utmost respect for paving way for the next generation of animated films. This was the first movie to use 3D animation, now you see it everywhere you look. Tim Allen and Tom Hanks' performances were amazing, they really brought the characters to life.

Monsters, Inc.- Probably my favorite of the 'Toy Story' offspring. This was a really cute movie, and I am dying for a sequel, which means it probably won't come, or when it does it will be horrible lol. The thing I love about this film is, it was very original. It had a new plot, new characters, and managed to keep my attention the whole time, which can be very hard to do.

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown- I honestly did not care for the first 'Ice Age', I thought it was boring and drawn out. So imagine my surprise when I was dragged to see this and found myself enjoying it just as much if not more than the people around me. The thing that really made this movie great was the Possums, they really deserve their own movie.

Shrek- Last but not least, 'Shrek'. 'Shrek' was absolutely perfect, Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy's chemistry was great. I really wish they would have left this at one, because I was not impressed at all by the sequel. It's hard to live up to a perfected first attempt and they failed.
