My Sims for the Nintendo Wii has blocky, fun, and colorful graphics. The colors of the game are vibrant and interesting (unless, of course, you are at Violet, the goth girl's house). The music is simple, and it mostly consists of just tones and notes. There are no words.
The people of the game ask you to build various things for their houses. In the beginning, these things are simple, and need no Essence. Essence is a paint color that you must harvest out in the wild. A few examples are: apple, orange, cherry, diamond, gold, silver, and wood. Different people will want different color essences on their furniture, their essences reflect their personalities. A goth girl like Violet is going to want a Scary Essence on her objects. A Video Gamer like Vic Vector is going to want some Video Game Essence on his objects.
Each person can also be harvested for certain personality essences. If you need a Happy Essence, all you have to do is be nice to someone for a little while. If you want a Scary or an Angry Essence, you need to be mean to them. Again, different people are going to give off different essences. Goths are not going to ever give Happy Essences, but happy people will not give off Scary Essences.
This game is a bit repetitive. You go get a mission, build an object, harvest essences (if necessary), give the object to the person who asked for it, repeat. If you do not like games that repeat, this is not the game for you. You will find yourself sitting for hours on your couch building countless things for people. The only reason this is fun is because once you build something for someone, you can build another one for you. Its gets fun once you have a dancefloor, a video game machine, guitar hero, and a king size bed. The only thing is that you can't actually play any of those games. You can only watch your sim play them.
This game is sort of fun, but it gets boring after a while. I would rate this game a 6 out of 10.

- My Sims Kingdom: Nintendo Wii Game ReviewThe game gets repetitive and is slightly similar to the original My Sims title. It has a new storyline and some new gameplay controls to it, but overall, I find it to be overpriced for what you are getting.
