My Soldier I Will Wait

My Soldier I Will Wait

You're Not the first
and not you're not alone
To leave for a while
your happy home.

Like many others
who before you have gone
I'll wait for you here
thou the days be long.

They say that absence
makes The heart grow fonder
I know this is true
as I sit and ponder

You have a job
you need to do
and so do I
That's wait for you.

So keep your thoughts
where they need to be
Don't worry about home
I'm Fine you see
Secure in the knowledge
You'll come home to me.

Yes, I know military separations are not easy, but looking forward to the reunion is always nice.
