My Solemn Vow

Quickpaws
In the winter of my life,
When clouds are dark and low,
I'll honor you for sending rain
That makes the flowers grow.

In the spring, with sun so warm,
I'll thank you for the sudden storm
That cools me as I raise my voice
To praise the King Who died by choice.

In the summer, hot and dry,
I'll praise you for the clear, blue sky,
Free of clouds and free of rain,
As Heaven will be void of pain.

In the autumn breezes sweet,
I'll thank you for the grace complete
That lets me enter Heaven's gates
Where Jesus eagerly awaits.

A diamond has no sparkle,
No sweet fire of its own.
The jeweler CUTS it.
Suddenly, it's much more than a stone!

Polish me and cut me
Like a diamond in the rough.
No matter how I serve You,
I can never do enough
To thank you for the ransom
That You paid so I could live.
You lost your life to give me mine,
So now, my ALL I give!

In every season of my life,
Through victory or trial,
I'll honor you through joy AND strife,
And seek to make You smile!
