My Solution to the American Gross National Debt
The United States Government is 9 Trillion Dollars in Debt!
Currently the government is passing by on a huge opportunity to get paid to advertise for large American companies. Just imagine for a moment that you are watching the news. You see a tank rolling down a dirt road and on the side it says Walmart. As the tank turns, you can see a big smiley face and the words, "We're rolling back prices!" If you were the CEO of Walmart, how much would you pay? Probably a lot. It would make the American public want to rush in to Walmart for some flavored water and tube socks right away.
Our soldiers could be like Nascar drivers. What American company would not want the soldiers representing them? This would be a huge moneymaker. The uniforms could have patches of Sears, Nextel, Winston, Garnier and more. We are capitalist, why don't we start acting like it? Selling advertisements is good for our country and it will get us out of debt. Next time the President of the United States is giving a speech, he could oh so casually place a can of Coke up on the podium. In the middle of the press conference, he could sip some Coke and mutter, "Aaah refreshing". Coca-Cola would love that, and would pay a lot of money for that endorsement.
What about government publications and voter ID cards? Another opportunity we are missing. Any American company would be thrilled to have their advertising and coupons on these. They are sent to millions of Americans everyday! In addition, when you are asked to fill out the census form they should be handing out free samples and coupons. This would be a win-win situation for everyone concerned.
The United States government could also start selling on E-bay. Imagine seeing an auction for a chair the United States President has sat in. Bids would be coming in like crazy. You could easily get the President to sit in twenty chairs a week and then sell them for 20 times the normal value! Why not sell junk from the White House that you were thinking about throwing away anyway? When the Iraqis knocked over the statue of Saddam Hussein, we should have kept all the pieces. These would sell very well on E-bay. We could sell the personal belongings of Al-Qaeda members and so much more. I truly believe I could wipe out that 9 trillion gross national debt within a year if given the chance.

Post a CommentDo you know anything about Politics or Economics??? I guess not.
NOpe wouldn't work
This would never work because companies would be fighting to be advertised. The military would hate it because it would seem tacky to the locals and it is not very hiding. People wouldn't take the government seriously anymore.
You're definitely onto something here.
