My Soul Has Thirst

My Soul Has Thirst

Running on empty
my soul has thirst
I am her man
she is the first

I saw her from a distant shore
Separated by the dogs of war
Smiling she beckoned me
Dancing under a willow tree

Blood red heart in golden cup
She was thirsty I was hot
Her thirst was quenched
My blood ran cold
My soul was wrenched
I grew so old - so ancient
and old

She caught my eye
I caught her soul
The Master played
sweet rock 'n' roll

We went to bed
I woke a'flame
Tangled passions to tough
to tame
Her tears washed away
all of my pain

She loves to dance
I love to flirt
No more pain
no more hurt
Our souls have merged
The world shines bright
She takes me soaring
through the night

Love is pure
Love is strong
I'm going home
where I belong

My desire runs deep
within her sleep
I am numb, but still I come
Oh lonely lust of devildom

My heart beats like a Tommy gun
She has me wrapped
around her thumb
She is my heart
I am her soul
She's every facet
of my rock 'n' roll
