Teenagers often spend hours adding new pictures, changing their profile, changing their layout, adding and deleting content with ease. They can show you where to get new layouts, a scrolling marquee and hide your comment box. For those who don't have their very own teenager and who don't know how to use HTML it can be overwhelming to try to make these changes on your own.
To begin, you'll need to have an account.
If you don't already have an account please go to: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/667879/my_space_for_newbies.html
After registering for My Space you can at this time pick a page theme (one of the My Space layout's). Scroll through these. If you see one you like then you are done after choosing it! If you do not like one of these than proceed as follows:
Step One: Go find a layout. There are numerous sites you can get a layout from.
Hot Profiles Graphics offers thousands and thousands of choices:

Other sites for layouts:
http://www.whateverlife.com/myspacebasics.php
http://transcriipts.com/myspace-codes.php
Step Two: Once you find a layout that you like click on it and it will give you a code. Copy the code.
Step Three: Go to your My Space Profile and click EditProfile. Paste the code into the About Me section. If you had previously chosen a My Space Layout (first delete that code-then copy the new one).
Step Four: SAVE all Changes. Previewing the Profile at this point will not show you actually what it will look like.
Step Five: Click Home in the Left Top Hand Corner and view your Layout.
If you are like many people you may decide this isn't the one. If so, go back to the drawing board and look at some more. Eventually you will find one you like or you might just be a teenager at heart and change it every week!

I often welcome change and the experience it brings. I try to start each day anew by remembering whose child I am and where it is I am going on this journey. Life is such a grand adventure! View profile
