This game is very innovative for the Nintendo DS Lite because it takes learning a new language and turns it into a new experience. You can learn a language by playing a video game that helps increase your learning abilities. You will learn how to communicate better in Spanish and the different verbs that you have to conjugate to be able to ask and answer questions. You can even record you own voice during the lessons and match it with the native speaker. Thats really neat to hear if you are pronouncing words right and adjusting your pronunciation. The lessons are great where you are introduced to new words because the native speaker speaks them for you and you can learn how to use them in a sentence. The best part is as you are going through the lessons you get to play the games. This helps you earn points which helps you unlock the next lesson. The good thing is the games during the lessons only focus on the new words and helps you master them by earning the points. When you master all the words of that lesson you can move on, but can only be done by playing the word games.
The word games are used to practice new and old vocabulary with. This helps keep it fresh in your mind. The games are: multiple choice, hit a word, word search, flash cards, memory, bridge builder, spelltastic, and fill-in-the blank. Multiple choice is like the beginning test where you see the word in English and have to pick the Spanish word that corresponds with the word. Hit-a-word is where you have to hit little gophers who have the word you are looking for; kind of like whack a mole. Word search is where you have a list of words in English and have to find them in Spanish and cross them out. Flash cards is where you listen to or read the word in Spanish and have to find the English spelling of the word. It's different from multiple choice on in that regards, but you still have four choices. Memory is very different from the usual memory game. You have two different colored cards, red for Spanish and blue for English, and you have to match the right Spanish and English word to clear the matches off of the board. This actually can be quite hard when you keep picking the wrong two words. Bridge builder is where you make a sentence given the nouns and verbs in Spanish. This is really great to help out with sentence structuring. Spelltastic, is just being able to spell the Spanish word spoken. Fill-in-the blank is basically filling in the right conjugated verb in each sentence. Over all each of these games use the dual screens of the Nintendo DS Lite to it's fullest. You have to pay attention to what is being said, and remember the right words for everything. You can even set if you just want to learn new words, or all the words you've learn. You can even go up in level which earns you more points. Ah yes points, for each game you complete correctly, you earn points which helps you move on to the next lesson. Also as you progress you can unlock new levels of each word game, by playing. They get harder and force you to listen to the word and answer the questions more quickly.
The graphics on this game are perfect for this type of game on the Nintendo DS Lite. The best part is as you click on the screen for each of your lessons, learn neat facts about different places. The music is basically one song over and over again, but you can turn the music off to focus on the native speaker. It is wise to pay attention to the native speaker so that you can learn your vocabulary.
Game play for this game on the Nintendo DS Lite, is fairly simple once you learn how to play each game. It's not difficult to learn at all.
Creativity for this game is great. I think it was a great idea to teach someone who to learn a new language on the Nintendo DS Lite system. For those who enjoy video games and enjoy learning, this is a great game to try out at least. I wish that they had made games like this when I grew up. This is a great way to introduce a new language into your life without shelling out too much money.
As for fun, I believe this is a pretty fun game for the Nintendo DS Lite system. I for one will probably keep on playing it. It's really great to combine a game and learning.
This game is a great way to learn a new language and expand the knowledge all ready contained to those who all ready know Spanish. As you progress along you will be able to understand more vocabulary and utilize what you learn in daily situations.
