My Success at Associated Content: Residual Income

g christine
I will come right out and say it, I don't make a lot of money writing on Associated Content. What I DO make, however, is consistent, regular, dependable income.

I'm making about $40 a month in residual income from my 209 articles I have published. Most of these articles were written over a three-year period, very few within the last year.

Since Associated Content was bought by Yahoo recently, my income has grown by about 15% per month, residual, without any extra effort, and very few new articles.

And the residual, page view income also increases by at least a little every month, whether or not I write, or even log onto the site. There have been very few months where my income was less than the month before.

You might not think $40 bucks is a lot of money for 200 articles, and it isn't, but it is good, consistent income for me. Some people make a lot more than I do.

There are some people on Associated content raking in hundreds of thousands of page views each month, and it adds up to big bucks if you are the type of person willing to put in the time and effort.

So why did I put the word "Success" in the title? Because to me, it IS a success to increase my residual income every month, to the point where eventually I will be able to pay all of my bills, and support myself without having to work for my money. Associated content isn't my best money maker, but it is one of my favorites, and I can depend on AC to pay me EVERY time, on time, without having to work for that $40 bucks. That's half my phone billJ

I plan to double that in the next couple of months, as Associated Content is my main focus at the moment. There are sites where I could expect to make more, but AC is too reliable to let slide. I think it's better, at least for me, to bring in residual income through more reliable sources, and lot's of them, than to take chances on other websites that I don't have the same sort of history and trust that I have here with Associated Content.

There are a few people who make their living here, and while I don't really plan on being one of those, simply because that would mean spending all of my time and effort here for months on end, and putting most of my eggs in one basket (I've learned that lesson the hard way, for those of you who remember Ehow), I still want to make AC a big part of my overall income plan.

I will focus on doubling my income, with most likely a lot fewer articles than it took me to get the first $40 per month, then move on to something else for a while (to increase my number of income sources) and then come back to AC later on and take it to the next level.

Thank you Associated Content, Yahoo, and my readers for making my time here worth while.

Great article! I just started writing three months ago, so this is very encouraging :-)

I got $47 last month. This month I don't know yet, doesn't seem like much but we'll see what happens. Just not writing as much as I used to ...

It does add up! $40 is a tank of gas for me! :-)
