My Thoughts on Kid Violence

I have seen so many times on the news about the problem with kids being violent toward other kids or adults. And I think that it is sad that we have such a problem with kids carrying on being violent toward each other, I remember sometime ago not far from where I live about a child not even ten, bringing a weapon too school to show off to other kids.

On the topic about kid's being violent, I think that it is unbelievable how times have changed. Years ago when kids did not get along they would wait until after school to settle a conflict. Back then it was no such thing as using weapons it was just using your two fists, but now kids find a solution to simple problems by picking up a gun. And that takes me to the question of; who do we constantly blame for the problems with kids and violence?

Of course video games and movies don't get me wrong I do think that video games and movies are part the blame but I also think that we need to also point out the parents. I think that we have too many parents who are not getting more involved into what their children are doing at school and at home. I understand that parents can do but so much especially if they are busy with working ridiculous hours trying to make ends meet to keep a roof over both themselves and their children's head. But I think about how over and over again people constantly blame movies and video games as being the source to kids becoming violent. And I just can't help but to have this one question that I would love for someone to answer, why are kids being allowed to watch such violent movies and play those violent games, exactly who do we blame then? I have for a fact witnessed parents who do not pay attention pickup video games that are rated mature just because the child wanted it, and when confronted could careless as long as the child stays out of their hair.

I am not an expert on raising children, but I just think that it is a matter of using common sense when it comes to figuring out ways to keep an eye on what children are doing. Also keep children away from anything that is a negative influence.
