My Top 10 Favorite YouTube Stupid Japanese Videos

I am not a big user of YouTube or any other video service like Yahoo videos or Google videos but once in a while I do like to see what's new. One of my favorite types of videos to watch are the Japanese ones because they tend to be so outrageously silly and strange. Here is my list of favorites. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

The Countdown
#10 - Slippery Exit Slider Prank is one of my least favorites. It has been done time and time again on shows like Bonsai. Basically a group of idiots puts a slippery ramp outside the front door of a public building. People come out of the building and fall down the ramp, dropping everything they're holding.

#9 - Prank Call-Japanese VCR comes in at number nine because while it is funny, it could have been even funnier. Basically this is phone call rather than a video in which a man pretends to be Japanese and prank calls an appliance store to get help setting the clock on his VCR.

#8 - Funny Moments of Japanese Pranks is taken from a Japanese Game show I believe. It reminds me of that old show Candid Camera where people are surprised and pranked on live television without knowing it. In this short one minute video several quick and dirty pranks are pulled on people and it's hilarious to watch their reactions. The funniest part is when a man surprises another man at work by jumping out of a giant container at him. His scream is priceless.

#7 - Jogging Pranks are pulled on unsuspecting people in this video. It's not really a Japanese video and I don't know why YouTube has it categorized like that but it's extremely funny and I thought it would fit with the rest of these videos in spite of it's un-Japanese-ishness.

#6 - A Magician Becomes an Old Man to Trick People on the Streets and scares the living bejezus out of them. The magician uses special effects through make-up to age himself and then wanders onto a train and into public streets to creep people out. It's well worth the watch when you see his tricks. The very last trick he does is amazing at first and will stun you but once you realize what it is, it's hilarious.

#5 - The Remotely Controlled Japanese Girl in this video is clearly having a hard time hiding what's going on with her. What's going on with her is she is wearing a "personal battery operated device," if that's what you want to call it, and it is being controlled via remote control by someone else in the restaurant. What you'll see here is her inability to hide what the device is doing to her. There is no nudity involved in this video and if you didn't know why she's acting the way she is you probably wouldn't give this clip a second thought before closing it.

#4 - The Crazy Japanese Burger Trick is a video clip of a street magician performing tricks very similar to those performed by Vegas's Chris Angel. In this video he is stands outside of a hamburger joint in front of the menu. After a couple of seconds he picks a burger off the menu and it becomes real in his hand. Then he eats it and samples another burger. It's not really a funny video; it's just a cool trick to see.

#3 - The Crazy Things Men Will Do to See Boobs Shake. There's not much to laugh about in this video unless you speak Japanese and can tell what they are saying but I couldn't stop watching because I wanted to see how long that man could stand to sit in that water. This is another one of those crazy game show clips where a group of Japanese men cheer on one man who has to dunk himself in a tank of extremely hot water in order to make some chick's boobs jiggle. The more they jiggle the higher his score gets. I can't believe some of the things men will do just to see some boobies jiggle.

#2 - Crazy Japanese Street Dance. I don't know what's creepier, the girl in the sailor suit or the crazy skinny guy in fishnets. These are street performers trying to make some extra money by dancing to choreography they obviously came up with on their own. It's a very long video that I almost didn't watch all the way but I'm glad I did or I would have missed the part where they use his nuts as a DJ turntable.

#1 - Japanese Bathroom Prank. In true Japanese television fashion, this video pokes fun at innocent people trying to use the porta-potty. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. The video features people walking into custom made porta-potties. What the people don't know is that a timer is counting down and when it gets to one they will be ejected out of the potty through the ceiling, pooping or not.
