My Top 1000 Contributor Badge for AC

Top 1000 Badge Acceptance Speech: Articles on Associated Content

Marie M. Daniels
I just won the Top 1,000 Contributor Badge for 2009 on Associated Content. According to the badges and awards page on AC the Top 1000 Badge is awarded to the Contributors whose work gets the highest page views from that year. So I join 999 other AC Contributors who have high page views for 2009.

I would like to thank the Academy, oh wait that is only if you win an Academy Award. I only won a Top 1000 badge on Associated Content. Okay, okay I did not win the PMA's (People's Media Award) or anything that grand. I am very proud of my top 1000 contributor badge and my hard work.

Associated Content knows that people like to get rewards. So AC gives us these clout planets and badges to make us feel accomplished and keep us hanging around wanting more. Well I feel accomplished at least a little bit, and I feel much better about writing freelance articles on Associated Content.

Now I have some proof as to my status on Associated Content with a green number 9 clout planet and a top 1,000 contributor badge. I think my nice new shiny, sliver, trophy or badge looks a little like a ribbon. I am proud to have my badge displayed on my writer's profile. From searching Top 1000 Badge on AC I can tell others want these badges too.

I wrote a total of 155 articles and poetry including one slide show in 2009 on Associated Content. I am not saying that you have to write that many articles to get the badge or that if you do you are going to get one. Technically if you were to only write 12 articles for AC and they all got 1,000's of page views one could still earn a Top 1000 Content Producer Badge.

I had put the Top 1000 Badge as a goal I wanted to reach in my article: My Top Ten-New Year's Resolutions for Freelance Writing and Associated Content. I guess I will have to go for the gold next year instead; no I am not talking about the Winter Olympics. The Top 100 Badge on Associated Content is a gold star. Now I want the elusive gold star for next year. Only time will tell if I get that one or not.

I am very happy with my award, incase you couldn't tell, but I do expect more for the year 2010. Now I some how have to get the top 100 badge. I also would love to get PV (page view) millionaire badge, I think I can - I think I can.

Congratulations to everyone who got shiny new badges too. If you did not get a new badge keep writing and it will happen for you too!

Congrats! If you are interested, I always do comment for comment. You view all the pages of one of my articles and leave a small comment to let me know you were there and I'll come and view all the pages of one of your articles to let you know I was there. We know by the comment. Often my comments have to be just copy and paste or very short, but I'm still reading your content.
