My Top 2009 Flick Picks

Ida D.
I think 2009 will be a pretty good movie year!

Jurassic Park 4

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0369610/

Still - unfortunately - mostly rumors. My fingers are crossed for a huge reunion with the whole team: Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neil, Laura Dern, etc.. I have never seen the dinos on the big screen and would just LOVE to!

Public Enemies

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1152836/

Johnny Depp will be playing the infamous John Dillinger. Filmed in Wisconsin, natives to that state have been blogging about it for months now and I am hyped. Plus David Wenham has a role in it as well. Fellow ringers will remember him as Faramir from The Lord of the Rings. And, for Batman Fanatics.. yes... Christian Bale is in it too...

X-men Origins: Wolverine

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458525/

Merry as a Mutant? Sounds good to me. Dominic Monhagan has a part in this which is neat, even if he doesn't have any mutant genes. Looking forward to Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine. The X-men franchise is the only superhero series I still enjoy.

The Wolf Man

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0780653/

Fans of The Lord of the Rings are going to have fun at the movies in 2009 seeing all their favorite Middle-earth characters popping up. This promising looking remake has a part for the actor who played Elrond, Hugo Weaving.

I even found this cool photo album with some on set shots: http://s219.photobucket.com/albums/cc140/caromcg/The%20Wolfman/?mediafilter=images

Toy Story 3

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0435761/

Toy Story 2 is one of the best animated sequels, so I hope they can keep it alive with #3.

The Brazilian Job

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0427396/

A sequel to "The Italian Job" I would love another car scene, but have my fingers crossed for something new and different as well.

Nottingham

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0955308/

Though I think the guy rumored to be Robin is quite unattractive, there's always the hope that it's just a rumor. There should be more medieval period films. It will be hard for anyone to top Errol Flynn though.

And... for 2010:

Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1014759/

The cast for this is fantastic! Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as The Queen of Hearts, and a basket full of other wonderful Burton picks. I just WISH it were coming out sooner. I don't have a single doubt on this one. I'll be seeing it in theaters as soon as possible.

Happy Movie Watching!
