My Top 3 "Fast Food" Places in Wilburton

Every small town neighborhood has them; the well-loved yet not nationally known, "mom and pop" food places and the
town that I live in is not any different. Actually, we have a few of them, but I want to highlight the ones that my family and
friends frequent the most.

Fern's Frosty Delites

Has excellent made to order burgers that I have ever had, aside from the ones made at home, that is.
Their meals, if you are inclined to have them, includes your sandwich and an overflow of French fries with the given side
item of ketchup. The burgers themselves are not by any means small and they alone can be a meal. Fern's does not only
offer budget friendly burger meals, though. Looking at their complete menu is proof that casual diners can enjoy plenty of other things as well; either at home, or right there in a covered pavilion area. My family tries to make it a ritual to have a
burger meal from Fern's at least once or twice a month. The prices are unbeatable by anyone and a family of four who
enjoys burgers can comfortably do so for less than $15.

Guy's Drive In & BBQ

Is our other local burger place. Like Fern's, they offer burger meals and are family owned; but there are plenty of other things that Guy's offers, aside from burgers though. For instance, BBQ is a big hit for them as well as their own Mexican dinners.
You can also order other favorites like a Chicken Fried Steak meal to cold sandwiches and soups. Guy's is one of the best well-known food establishments in town and easy to find.

Adelita's Mexican Restaurant

If you enjoy true authentic Mexican food, then you should try Adelita's. Very different from the branded "Tex-Mex" tradition that is popular in the Southern States. I was born and raised in Texas, the birth place of Tex-Mex so it was very difficult for me to warm up to any other style of Mexican food that wasn't my favorite. But, I list Adelita's here because they are family owned and wanted to recommend them as they do have good food here and their service is very friendly.

So, if you are ever in Oklahoma and find yourself in a small town called Wilburton, you will no doubt notice several national fast food chains here, that everyone knows about and frequents on even given day; but if you would like to change the age old routine of McDonald's, Sonic, etc. stop by and check out one of our local eateries.
