My Top 3 Favorite Websites for Healthy Recipes

I learned to cook early in life, using inexpensive fresh foods. My family couldn't afford trendy take-out or drive-thru meals, and my mom did not like to cook, so I learned from my grandmothers the art of cooking nutritious meals.

We could cook and make anything taste good, according to my grandmothers' "depression-era" survival standards, on just pennies-per-serving. Through this highly nutritious, albeit frugal method of cooking I found it was possible to make anything taste great using the right amount of fresh-from-the-garden fruits, herbs, and vegetables, along with whole grains, olive oil, nuts, seeds and a dash of sea salt!

I share many of my favorite recipes with you in the books, the "ABC's of Nutritious Cooking & Living a Healthier Lifestyle: A Back-to-Basics Survival Guide for Your Family" and "How to Grow an EMERGENCY Garden", co-authored with fellow-writer, Yahoo contributor, and gardening expert Becca Badgett. With enough cooking experience you too will be able to look over any recipe, to verify fresh and healthy ingredients, while quickly determining how it will taste, and here are some great places to start.
