Take a site seeing day to visit Lincoln's Memorial, open 24 hours a day and free to the public, The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Holocaust Memorial Museum, open from 10am to about 5pm daily and the admission is free. You will be moved by the historical value each one has to offer. If you are looking for an outdoor adventure, check out the Smithsonian National Zooligical Park, where you will pay for parking only up to $20, Washington Harbour, and Hains Point. For a fast paced, crowded weekend getaway, New York City is an excellent weekend getaway, especially if you like to shop, eat, and spend money. Time Square offers digital entertainment, lights and plenty of music entertainment and is located in Manhatten at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Street. Here you visitors will find art, theatre, shopping, dining, and events like the New Year's Ball Drop and the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Variety is everywhere, and you can purchase anything you can think of here. Fifth Avenue is the best shopping area in the city, where you will find Ralph Lauren, Barney's and more. You may also find places that are in your city as well, like the Disney Store, the Gap, and Forever 21, but just a littler pricier. If you are looking for the latest styles and products, New York is the place to go. If it just came out in the stores, you will find it here first. New York City offers an excellent variety of restaurants. If you love to eat, try new things, and visit the best restaurants in the US, you will indulge yourself here. New York City offers the best BBQ, Sushi, and Seafood right in one place. Spend $20 or more per plate, but savor the flavor cause you might not be able to afford to visit anytime soon. New York City is a once a year weekend getaway and takes a little saving, but you won't regret it. You will take plenty of memories with you.
