In Style is probably the most fashion focused of these magazines. It's the magazine I turn to when I want a pure fashion fix. In Style offers the easiest way to find out about ALL the latest accessories and key pieces of the season. It does contain a few features that aren't focused exclusively on fashion, but it knows its bread and butter is fashion and gives its readers what they want. Its What's Hot Now section helps me keep up to date on what celebrities are wearing, and Beauty always has something worth reading!
Elle is the world's most read fashion magazine and it's easy to see why. Full of in-depth features on celebrities and fashion, it's interesting to read as well as full of tips on the latest styles. Elle, like Vogue, is aimed at the more intelligent woman: women who don't want to just be told what to wear, but who want to make their own mind up. Features aren't simply on fashion, but cover issues such as surviving cancer, therapy, and bringing up children.
Glamour is aimed at the young hip reader. Women that want to look a million dollars, but are shopping on a more restricted budget! I love the way its fashion pages combine designer with high street, whilst highlighting the best bargains and the editor's favourites. It also contains articles on relationships, sex and celebrity. It has informative articles and useful advice on important subjects such as STDs, depression and love. Its free gifts often rate among the best too!
Grazia is definitely worth a read. It's cheaper to buy than the others, as it's published weekly, but doesn't lack in content. Famed for its great celebrity gossip, one of its major selling points is how up to date the content is. If you want to know what your favourite celebrities are wearing NOW (as opposed to last month) then this is the magazine for you. As the fashion world moves faster than ever and department stores, and online stores, update their stock on a continual basis, it really is time that the magazines caught up. Grazia's publishers have realized that today's woman wants to keep up with this week's styles and trends and they cater to this fast moving market. Don't miss out!
