The Steelers will be vying for their sixth Super Bowl trophy while the Cardinals will be making their Super Bowl debut.
It may the Cardinal's debut, but it will be their quarterback's third trip to the big show.
Kurt Warner lead the St. Louis Rams to a Super Bowl victory in 1999. The Rams and Warner returned to the Super Bowl in 2001 but lost to Tom Brady and the Patriots.
Fantasy wise, Warner is my quarterback pick.
His 31 fantasy point performance last week against the Eagles made him my eighth ranking overall fantasy player, and third on my 2008 list. Warner has been a top pick throughout the year. I selected Warner 12 times and he scored 232 fantasy points for a 19.33 point per game average.
Statistically Warner beats Ben Rothlisberger in almost every category.
Warner's partner in crime, Larry Fitzgerald has to be everyone's top wide receiver pick.
Fitzgerald scored 45 fantasy points last week against the Eagles, to move into first place on my yearly and overall fantasy lists.
Willie Parker of the Steelers is 25th on my overall fantasy player list and 39th on my overall list. Parker was held to a five point fantasy performance last week by the Ravens. Over the years I have selected him 22 times and he has scored 316 fantasy points for 14.36 fantasy point average.
Anquan Bolden is 35th on my overall fantasy list and if he is able to play in the big game, he will be on my fantasy Super Bowl roster. In five selections, Boldin has scored 61 fantasy points for a 12.2 fantasy point average.
Neil Rackers is 49th on my overall fantasy list and 22nd on my 2008 list.
The Cardinal kicker is averaging 9.5 fantasy points in 20 selections.
Heath Miller of the Steelers joined my fantasy selections last week. He was held to nine fantasy points by the Ravens.
Another Steeler making his fantasy debut on my team was Mewelde Moore. The Ravens held him to one fantasy point.
Despite the low scoring week, Moore is averaging 9.2 fantasy points per game.
As for the two defenses, I have never selected either one of them. But both are tough. In fantasy stats, the Steeler D is averaging 9.6 fantasy points per game compared to the 8.7 fantasy point average posted by the Cardinals.
