Coming in at number four is Glamour Magazine. Glamour magazine is the "every woman's" fashion magazine, and you don't have to be a die-hard fashionista in order to understand what's going on. Glamour covers the latest fashion shows and trends but presents them in a way that the every day woman can use in her own life. Glamour also offers lots of great articles on dating, fitness, health and wellness, and celebrity gossip. A unique feature of Glamour is the popular "Dos' and Don'ts" section, where the editors criticize the street fashion of everyday people.
Number three on my list is Vogue, the quintessential fashion magazine of all time. If you're looking for fresh off the runway haute couture, Vogue is the magazine for you. No other magazine covers the hottest designers, and labels like Vogue. This magazine is truly for die-hard fashionistas, and you won't find many styles that you can wear to work or in your everyday life. You also won't find many styles that you can afford. Vogue is also famous for introducing up and coming supermodels to the world, and lots of famous faces like Tyra Banks or Gisele Bundchen jump started their careers by gracing the cover.
Flare Magazine ranks number two on my list. I like Flare because as a Canadian, it offers a unique Canadian perspective into the world of fashion. Flare showcases the hottest new Canadian designers, labels, and brands, something that you won't find in the international magazines. It also advertises products and fashion that are available in Canada, which is great because sometimes a lot of the products advertised in the major magazines aren't available to Canadians. If you're looking for fashion with a local flair, Flare magazine is the perfect choice.
My number one favourite fashion magazine is Nylon. Nylon is vastly different from the better-known magazines, and it's quite possible you may not have even heard of it. It offers a very different look at the world of fashion. Nylon has a more underground, indy feel. It's great if you are interested in discovering hot new unheard of designers or labels, up and coming actresses or bands, and cool offbeat trends. This magazine will appeal specifically to the late teens to late twenty's group. Nylon really sets it self apart from the crowd.
