My Top Picks for Best Female Perfumes

The Five Greatest Perfumes - Ever!

Wendy Rose Gould
I'm one of those girls who loves to mix things up when it comes to my perfume. Depending on my mood, outfit and time of day, I spritz on the scent that fits! Because I've tried so many different perfumes over the years, I'm able to compose a list of the best of the best. Believe me when I say it wasn't easy. Now that I've chiseled this list down to 5 of the greatest scents, it's time to unveil my top picks for "5 greatest perfumes EVER!"

Benefit "Maybe Baby" $48 for 3.4fl oz

This one is my signature scent and I love it for several reasons. First of all, it's one of those perfumes that gets you lots of compliments and inquiries as to what you have on. Secondly, not very many women wear this scent, probably because they aren't familiar with it.

The packaging is divine and oh-so-flirty! The scent itself is flirtatious as well, with soft notes of apricot, white ginger, fresh water blossoms, Himalayan poppy and warm peach. It's a light, warm scent that captures the true essence of the phrase, "Maybe Baby."

Stila's "Jade Blossom" $50 for 1.7fl oz.

This is another one of those scents that isn't often worn. That doesn't mean it's not heaven in a jar, though! This fabulous scent looks like a garden party and is perfect for any occasion. The packaging is delightful and features hand-pressed, dried flowers which represent the floral elements within!

As for the scent, it's light, fresh and positively delicious! Think of a healthy blend of crisp green tea, cucumber and lemon blossoms! You can't go wrong with this one!

Baby Phat "Golden Goddess" $52 for 3.4fl oz.

If you want to feel glamorous, this spicy scent is the perfect addition to your overall look! I especially love to wear this when I'm feeling bold and it's wonderful for a night out on the town! It's also fitting for a cold day when you want to heat things up a little bit!

The packaging isn't the selling point on this product, but it's definitely pretty glamorous and fits with the name of the perfume: Golden Goddess! To emit luxury the next time you go out, splash this on your wrists and prepare to feel gorgeous, golden and positively glamorous!

Sarah Jessica Parker "Lovely"$67 for 3.4fl oz.

This is femininity in a bottle. This scent is also another one of my defaults because it's perfect for just about any occasion. It's chic, sophisticated and whimsical all at once - a rare combination! SJP has received much acclaim on all of her perfumes which is no surprise. This is her first perfume out of three and, in my opinion, takes the cake. It has exotic notes of white amber, lavender, rosewood, mandarin, bergamot, apple martini, patchouli, paper whites, orchid, cedar and musk.

The packaging is quite simple but fits perfectly with the name of the perfume: lovely.

Clinique "Happy" $52.50 for 3.4fl oz.

This is a classic perfume if there ever was one! This product was launched in 1997 and is a flirty, fresh scent great for any age or occasion. It's a multi-layered floral perfume with hints of ruby red grapefruit, boysenberry bush flower and Hawaiian wedding flower. It's chic, it's modern, it's delightful and absolutely commands you to be happy the second you spritz it!

Happy comes in a simple sleek bottle and is one of Clinique's best all-time sellers. If you have never tried this one, it's a must!

Generally I don't get why women wear perfume a lot of the time any way...most of it stinks.
