GREAT WOLF LODGE
A weekend escape that is sure to knock the socks off of the entire family is a visit to Great Wolf Lodge. With locations across the country, finding one in your area should be a breeze. The entire family will love all the adventures Great Wolf Lodge has to offer! One of the greatest things about visiting Great Wolf Lodge is that any time of the year is perfect!
For the entire family, Great Wolf Lodge has an indoor water area filled with water slides, a wave pool, hot tubs, a lazy river, snack bar, and much more. There are water areas for children of all ages. For the smaller children, there are age appropriate water slides and a huge tree house that is filled with fun and exciting surprises.
The adults may enjoy being pampered by spending some time at the spa. The spa offers a variety of massage options, manicure, pedicure, and many other relaxing features. This option will run a little deeper into your pockets, as spa time is not included in the vacation package.
Enjoy game night and take the entire family to the arcade. Great Wolf Lodge has an arcade filled with some of the newest games. Here, you can win tokens with which you can trade in for fabulous prizes.
That is just some of the highlights of Great Wolf Lodge. A family of four can enjoy a weekend escape at Great Wolf Lodge for about $100 per person, per night, depending on the time of year you visit. Visit www.greatwolf.com for more details and to plan your weekend vacation today.
MYRTLE BEACH SOUTH CAROLINA
Another weekend escape that is best to take during the summer months is a visit to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. There are loads of things to do and fun for the entire family. Enjoy time walking up and down the glorious coast line, golfing, fishing or enjoy the night life.
Myrtle Beach South Carolina has a variety of options of places to stay. There are many hotels, condo's and even campgrounds and parking for RV's. Lodging at Myrtle Beach is very reasonable. For all there is to do you can't go wrong.
There are many different golf courses around Myrtle Beach. Water parks are attractions the kids may like. The entire family may enjoy the shows, musical events and fishing. You can always lay out a beach towel and just relax in the sun, play in the water and catch some rays. Myrtle Beach South Carolina makes an awesome weekend escape! BUGGS ISLAND LAKE
Another great place for a weekend escape would be to go camping on Buggs Island Lake located in a small town in Virginia. Clarksville, VA is home to Buggs Island Lake. Here you will find some of the best camping and fishing as well as beautiful scenery, friendly people and great country cooking.
Buggs Island has several camp grounds that are perfect for camping. Occonneechee is the closest to Clarksville and has camp sites with water and electric hook up as well as camp sites for those who really want to get in touch with nature and rough it. For those that want to camp in luxury, Occonneechee also rents cabins, however these are quite a bit more expensive than any campsite.
Rudd's Creek is another camp ground less than ten minutes up the road from Occonneechee. This is my preferred camp ground. During the summer months you will find loads of family's camping here. It is easy for anyone to make friends that you can keep in touch with forever.
For less than thirty dollars a night, you can enjoy all that Buggs Island Lake has to offer. There are boat docks for easily putting your boat in the water. If you get tired of swimming and fishing, you can visit the local shops and explore the little hole in the wall shops that are full of treasures galore!
These happen to be three of my favorite weekend getaways. I hope you take the time to see how much fun you and your family could have visiting any of these three locations. You are sure to have a great weekend escape!
