A majority vote of 54% would hope that Cheney would be on his way out, and another 45% would send Bush after him. Another poll taken also showed 64% of the general population disagreeing with Bush's commuting Libby's sentence. Add this poll to the 27% Bush approval rating in June and it's not surprising that the country has had enough.
Although it's not surprising that the Presidential office has found itself so popular, in fact I think as a society we would expect nothing less from our great leaders. Greedy and warmongering, lying and senseless killing all seem to be no big deal to our executive branch of government. Big business, now that's what's important. As long as Bush and Cheney are taken care of, as long as the poor are getting poor and middle class is sinking lower, and the rich are getting richer, who cares?
Sure the country is sinking into a serious depression, the health care system is a joke, gas prices are astronomical, the environment is crumbling because of the lack of an acceptable energy reform, our children are dying in a war based on lies, the government refuses to take free assistance for survivors of one of the worst storms ever to hit the country, we are constantly being stripped of our civil rights, and we are picking fights with every country except Canada. But Halliburton is doing well, and let's not forget Exxon Mobile, Conoco, Shell and the rest of the oil companies.
We'll impeach Clinton for getting a little oral sex and lying about it, but we wont impeach Bush and Cheney for killing this country? What is wrong with this picture? While average American citizens that may not be informed about a lot of the politics of this country, I think that this final straw was clear enough for everyone to understand.
This was not a complicated matter, no foreign policy, no shadow bill being passed, no crazy legislation that you need a law degree to decipher. It was a plain and simple disregard for the law. Lying and obstructing justice (among many other things) for the executive branch of the government is alright, there will few consequences so go ahead and do whatever you want. No accountability.
This country needs to demand that the government put an end to this ridiculous political, economical and environmental situation that we have been put into. Once we get these two boneheads out of office maybe we can focus on putting this country back together and making in great like it once was. This country can once again participate in the world as a responsible member of the global community. When I grew up, I thought that this was the greatest country in the world, now I'm thinking about moving to Canada.

And since u don't like Exxon, fill your car's gas tank at Winn Dixie. Enuff with my being a Smartass. Seriously, do you have any understanding of law, government or economics, or are you "feeling" your way thru life? Stop "feeling" and start studying the above topics.
