Kanchan
Nainital is one of the best hill resort in India. The right time to visit Nainital is in summer. If you want to avoid crowd and tourist rush and have peaceful holiday, end September would be the perfect period. We reached to Delhi and decided to reach Nainital by tourist bus which leaves from Delhi at night and reaches Nainital in the morning. You can reach there by taxi or train from Delhi. You can also reach by air and nearest airport is Pant Nagar which is around 70KM away from Nainital and need to take taxi or bus from the airport to reach Nainital.

Once you reach Nainital, you are surrounded by many local guides and the hotel agents to offer their services. You have ample option for check in in any good hotel which suits to your budget. There are many hotels which offers small rooms or big rooms with one,two bed rooms facility. There are holiday resorts and tourism department own run hotels. We preferred to stay in tourism dept.hotels which were economical due to off season. There are many restaurants which serve very tasty and good food at very reasonable rates. At some places, the food is cooked in Mustard oil. See if you like it. It's good for health.

Nainital is very small town and located in Uttar Pradesh state. The Goddess Naini temple is very famous here and is a place of worship of local people. The lake is so called Nainital because of this Goddess Naini and Tal means a lake and thus became Naini Tal as Nainital. This is a perfect hill resort with no heat and dust throughout the year. Winter is bit harsh but otherwise this place is very pleasant and peaceful with lots of colors. The lake is very beautiful. The water is very clean. The Naini lake is famous tourist spot. You can get a boat ride in the lake. The lake is surrounded by mountains. We took the boat ride for nearly four hours and enjoyed every moment. There is Yachting facility also available from the boat club.

We went to Cheena peak. This is the higest peak in Nainital and from this place you can see the famous Himalaya snow covered tops. The rope way facility is also available but walking by th esmall road with help of local guide is sheer pleasure. You need to carry a binoculars to have a better view. If the sky is clear you can see the Tibetan borders from this point. You can see an entire vally from this place and the scene is just breathtaking. If you manage to reach here at the time of sunrise or at the time of sunset. the view is beyond mere words.

A very famous and old church is here. There is Hanumangarh temple which is very peaceful. From this place also watching sunset is just a treat. One observatory which is very close from this temple. By night this place looks even beautiful and if it is a full moon day, consider yourself as luckiest person as you see a spectacular skyline from this spot.

There are three more lakes which are in around 20-25 KM away from Nainital. The names of these lakes are Bhim Tal, Naukuchia & Sat Tal. The Bhim Tal offers you various water sports. This place is very nice and peaceful. Naukuchia lake is also very beautiful. It has nine corners and thus carries the name as Naukuchia lake. The famous Sat Tal offers very picturesque view. There are many Pine & Oak trees around which adds to its beauty. This lake is combination of seven small
lakes and thus called as Sat Tal.

Nainital offers you variety range of Handmade goods. The wax candles in various shapes colors attract your attention. You get some good quality woolen material but be sure of buying at the government authorized shops.

Staying here for 7-8 days will give you lot of energy and the much required mental peace. Off season rates would cherish your mood if you look for value for money. Taking a leisure ride in Naini lake and spending your holiday peacefully is sheer pleasure. So, go and enjoy the beauty of Nainital.
