As soon as we enter the premises, we were amazed to see the most gorgeous, rugged log architecture of seasoned American woods with a very huge parking space. We checked in our family room with the fire place, which we had booked in advance. The room was really very spacious with two queen size beds, two 26 inches TV sets, Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and the separate sitting facilities with sofa set and dining table with two chairs, adjoining to the bedroom. The lodge had a combination of warmth and charm with all the modern amenities to make our stay very comfortable. We took some rounds in the lobby and were pleased to see many entertainment programs going on. Our grandson who is only 18 months old had a great time seeing all these. We went to the water park, situated on the ground level. This water park is really one of the biggest parks I have ever seen, having the total area of around 80000 square feet. The temperature in this water park is maintained at 84 degrees F at all times. The water also in all the rides was kept slightly warm so as to give feeling of warmth and comfort. We were all amazed to see around 14 water rides in all. There are rides specifically for the very small kids like kiddy pool. The most impressive drive of all was the wave pool. The waves like open sea kept on coming in the pool at the time interval of every 10 minutes. It was really fun to ride in this pool sitting on an inner tube. The other very interesting experience was to stand below the water splash from a very large bucket having capacity of 1000 gallons located above the park area. The water splash was so powerful that you will not be able to see anything due to the water curtain ahead of you. It is advisable to wear the protective goggles supplied by the park while enjoying this heavy water splash. There are three sliding rides also that drop you in the landing pool having the depth of maximum 5 feet. There are many water fountains, showers in all the forms, and the large playing pool having facility to play the water basket ball. There are two hot water pools also. One of these pools is having the water temperature of 98 to 100 degrees F. The other pool was kept more hot at the temperature of 105 to 110 degrees F. This hotter pool helps the senior citizens suffering from joint pain and arthritis. All the items like inner tubes, life jackets etc are supplied by the park management free of charge. There are lots of sitting and sleeping chairs provided to relax after the exhaustive park activities.
The water park remains open from 9 am to 9 pm on all week days and up to 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The persons staying at this lodge only are allowed to play in this water park. The lodge establishment was really very big and is having 405 rooms in all in various designs. All the rooms are decorated with the design of the forest and you will feel as if you have come to enjoy the adventurous life of the jungle. There are couples of restaurants like Pizza hut Express, Camp Critter Bar and Grill, and a fast food counter in the water park area. The buffet breakfast at Camp Critter Bar and Grill in the morning is really very lavish and is charged $11.95 per head for the adult above 13 years of age. The buffet lunch and the dinner are also served here. However, these are quiet expensive and are charged $21.95 per head. If you buy a package of $99 per head as offered by the lodge management, they supply you two water bottles, free coupon for 4 personal pizzas with drinks, two beach towels, 20 tokens for playing in the arcade, and two pairs of safety goggles. The entire facilities are in door and hence, you have not to worry regarding the outside weather. There is also a Northern Lights Arcade, where one can play video games of all types. The family spa called Elements is also located here for the family. We stayed till Sunday evening here and fully enjoyed all the features of this magnificent water park. The check in time is 3 pm and the check out time is 11 am. The rates for the room vary depending upon weather it is a week day or weekend. We had to pay $209 for the Thursday night and $289 for the nights of Friday and Saturday for a complete family room, which could accommodate 4 adults and a child. We feel these charges as reasonable in view of the facilities provided in the room.
I would strongly recommend all my AC friends to visit this fantastic fun water park during coming summer with their families and enjoy it to the maximium.
