My Voice

There is a voice deep inside my soul that no one gets to hear.

My voice cries out in pain because she is condemned to silence.

This voice is my independence. My freedom.

Every day my voice is locked and chained away by you!

You controlling demon!

Can you not see that I am not yours to command?

My voice does not want to be ignored anymore.

She grows stronger within me day after day.

One day you will no longer be able to control us.

We will break free.

My voice will no longer have to hide from you.

One day you will see that I am a person with my own feelings,

Heart, and mind that are not yours to have.

This silence that grows only makes my voice stronger.

She will be freed and then no longer will she be silent.

Realize this now...I am not yours to control anymore!

Open up your ears and hear my voice scream,

"You have lost your control on me!"
