My Weekend

Catdog
Six o'clock drags in slowly,
The minutes forever, head hung lowly.
Hurry up baby, time to get here!
Rush your daddy; make him speed and veer.

'Bout time ya'll pull up,
In daddy's new truck.
Your face lights bright,
"What're we doin' tonight?"

"I've got dinner on the stove, might be cold now.
Warm yourself a plate, you do remember how."
Take a seat and let's catch up,
On all your latest gossip!

Dinner closes to an end,
Off you go with your friend.
Play the night away,
At least the night you stay.

In the morn, you'll teach me on your board,
When I fall, you die laughing, "Oh Lord!"
The paramedics ask how,
And you kindly take a bow.

I wake up lying in my bed,
My chest rests your head.
You're asleep by my side.
This moment in life, I cried.

Sunday came all too quick.
This just makes me sick,
Too long to pretend,
Two weeks 'til my weekend.

You are so talented at words and graphics. This reminds me of when my Dad taught me to ride a bike. Very nice.

Being there for someone that loves you is so very important especially at a young age. Two weeks is not such a long time to wait for the rewards of being together again. Good Job Miss "CD" ken
