My Wish

Jolynne M Hudnell
The box open again to share one final time
The last of what was mine to give
Nearly exhausted, broken and shattered
Pieces too humble, too numerous to count

As the wind carries the particles that remained
My wish is for each speck to make its mark
To bring light and hope to those in despair
No longer to be taken, I willingly give it.
