My Yellow Rose
I have always loved;
The beauty of the rose;
Soft, delicate petals;
Silky to the touch;
Smell so sweet;
A fragrance that mingles;
With the summer breeze;
Bright as the golden sun;
Cheerful like lemon drops;
And little children singing;
On a beautiful Sunday morning;
I could not find a photo;
Of that perfect yellow rose;
Something that would rightfully;
Represent my work;
And so I carefully drew my own;
Although it is not realistic;
And not perfect art;
It was the best that I could do;
And if you like it;
Then it will serve me well
