My Yesterdays

Zenovia B.
There are times in our lives when we make mistakes and it is hard for us to forgive ourselves. If you are someone who steadily looks in the rear view mirror and think if only I had done this or if only I had done that. It is time to move on. Forgive yourself and embrace the person that you have become, if you had not made those mistakes in the past, you would probably not be the person you are today.

My Yesterdays

The mistakes that I made yesterday are some that I regret.
But yesterday is history and now I must forget.
For some mistakes that I did make there were prices I had to pay.
But what I did my yesterday prepared me for today.
Dear God please help me each waking day for mistakes I know I'll do.
And help me to forgive myself for I know that you will too!

That's a good poem. I like it. We all need to learn to be thankful for the past, because there's always something to learn from it.
