In the early afternoon on Sunday walk around the corner to the old fashioned 1950's soda shop. This is where all the really big time fun begins. This is like touring a small museum in its self . It has a 1950"s jukebox and on the walls and hanging from the ceiling are memorabilia from the 1950's. It is sure to please you. Sip on an old fashioned soda before the show.
Next door to the soda shop is the old General store. This is the entrance into the Myers Dinner Theater. At the back of the old General store awaits you a special surprise. What I like to call "The Restroom Museums. " Here you will find 9 bathrooms all decorated by Donna (the owner) herself. They are just adorable. You must visit these. My favorite is the old outhouse complete with corncobs.
In the lobby of the theater is a small water wheel that has water running through it. This is the saw mill. Then there is a church with a garden, and a couple of store fronts. The white gazebo is where you get your food. All this represents a small town, very unique and dazzling. White lights are strung among trees. Upon entering the theater you are greeted personally by the owner Donna who gives everyone a nice warm hug to welcome you. You are then seated.
Big bowls of homemade salad and rolls are brought out to your table. You are invited by the table to get your food and dessert. The food is all homemade including the mash potatoes and desserts. Tea, coffee and water is on the table and is plentiful. This is an all you can eat buffet. Prayer is said before each meal.
If your looking for a fun and inexpensive day, this is it. Visit the old soda shop which is free to tour. They also on Sunday evening have a Cabaret show. Tour the restrooms and old general store all free. Have your self a very nice dinner and see a wonderful show. ( This is not free but is very inexpensive for all you get).
I highly recommend you see this visit the Myers Dinner Theater. They also have besides Sunday matinees evening shows.
