MyLot-The New Internet Thought Police

I thought the internet, like America, was supposed to be free. I suppose I was wrong.
Further, the owners of mylot do not share their names or the address of the company on the website. There is NO contact information provided. The domain name is registered to:

There is also a rather strange affiliation with Ms. Latina Renee Enterprise, LLC. The CEO is Ms. Latina Renee, a 27-year-old Deputy Program Manager/System Engineer from Philadelphia, PA. Her websites include msmoneygirl.net and msmoneygirl.ws (that is in Samoa), and she claims to be an affiliate with the world's first television advertising agency that's Internet-based and designed to be used by local businesses.
Now, I'm not a real detective, nor do I play one on TV, but doesn't it seem odd that the people behind mylot are afraid to show the world who they are. Why do they need to block an unimportant person like me from their discussion site? Why is it against their rules to post articles using the words "Islam" and "Muslim?" Who is Ms. Latina Renee and why isn't her "company" listed anywhere except the internet?
I have a lot of questions, but few answers.
I've had blogs on many sites, and I've never before encountered such biased behavior as that exhibited by MyLot management. There is no need for such behavior and as such, begs the thought, "What is going on?"
The bottom line is that MyLot is not a good place to express opinions. If you don't post what they like, they remove it. If you use words they don't like, they remove your post and keep you from logging in to the site. The management must be selling the discussions to somebody. They are making money somehow. Don't let them use you. Don't support censorship, religious bias and the Thought Police. I suggest that you take your writing skills somewhere else more hospitable.

Post a CommentI also wonder why mylot owners are hiding their identity. This secrecy gives doubt about their real intentions. When they blocked your ID, did you write to them and did they reply?
I am interested to know this as I am also their victim. They blocked my ID and I do not know why they did it. I have sent them many communications through 'Contact' on the homepage, but they do not reply. I also sent e-mail to admin@mylot.com and webmaster@mylot.com, but no reply. For many days I am trying to find out their identity so that I can communicate. Coming to your article is due to that search.

I see a lot of posts about Muslims and Islam that remain, and many are actually quite critical. Others do get deleted. Since they're probably deleted before I see them, I can't comment on whether they really did violate a guideline or not. Right now in doing a search there are ten pages of discussions on the Muslim religion at myLot. Some are asking questions about it, some are critical.
MyLot is good, but if you read the rules it is against the rules to talk about religion because it usually results in people fighting and calling each other names. Religion and politics shouldn't be discussed, and if that is their rules for the site, then you should abide by them. If you don't like the rules then you should not be a member. If you kept breaking the rules then that's why you got deleted.

I have seen the words Muslim and Islam on myLot many times. In many cases they have been there for a long time and have not been removed, so the obviously are not banned or censored. When they are removed it is done for a reason. If they are used in a discriminating or harassing way, they will be removed. Try checking the guidelines to see what is and what not allowed.
I have been posting discussions about Islam for months, and several of them have been deleted, while posts about other religions are left alone. I agree that there are a group of Muslims who report discussions about Islam enmasse. My rating has also taken a serious hit over on Mylot. Any "negative" discussion about their religion is often the target of abuse by these people. I have been called every name in the book, and other users have had actual death threats made against them. I perhaps hold the record for having the most discussions started about me than any other user.
You are not far from the mark with your ideas perhaps. But I refuse to be silenced.
You know full well its not against Mylot rules to use these words and I could copy/paste at least 50 posts.done today,using these words,and not all in a positive vein.Do you want me to do that?I have informed the administration on this site of my view on this.

All posts containing the words 'Muslim' and 'Islam are not being banned from myLot. To prove it, I am going to post to a Discussion right now and use those words and we shall see what happens. Yes, we shall see.
I'll tell you why words like Muslim and stuff are censored occasionally. Cos there is always someone claiming racial harrassment. I live in the UK which has many different races adn cultures and there is always someone accusing someone of being racist and myLot is just a reflection of the real world. Crap I know but such as life.
And I bet you the people in c harge of that website are booming rich and that's why they don't want everyone knowing who they are. Think of the amount of money everyone makes on there...they make more than that. Obviously you are going to give yourself they biggest share.
And thanks for clearing it up that its female cos I sent them a personal offer of sex the other day and I got no response. I was prostituting myself for a 10 star. I went from a 9 to an 8!
So yeah as I was saying myLot rules and if you don't like it you obviously never made any friends or had anything worthwhile saying!

I think you should avaliate it as a negative situation. try to see the good part of it.
