The most prominent attraction in Myrtle Beach is it's long stretch of beaches. The ocean water splashing up on the sandy beaches is a welcome break from the outside world. Take a stroll along one of the piers for a closer look at the view or maybe do some fishing.
Stay in the lap of luxury at one of the many hotels backing up to the beach. Many of these establishments boast private party decks and pools.
Tired of basking in the sun? Then try your hand at one of the many mini-golf establishments that abound in Myrtle Beach. There is a wide range to choose from. My personal favorite is the mystery mini-golf courses. Choose how your mystery will turn out by choosing a storyline that sounds interesting to you. When you're done, why not play again and see where the other path takes you!
Hungry? Then head on over to one of the 1,800 restaurants in Myrtle Beach. You will find any kind of food you could want. The one that I have to visit every time is Original Benjamin's Calabash Seafood. This restaurant is beyond impressive! When you walk through the door, you will find hosts and hostesses lined up ready to seat you. The first question you will be asked is if you have ever visited there before. If the answer is no, you are in for a mini-tour of the restaurant. They show you where the food bars, restrooms, and other points of attraction including the dry aquarium and ship replicas. Then you are seated at your table, where some of the friendliest wait staff I've ever met greets you. If you are getting the food bars, you are in for a real treat. You will find seven different bars for you eating pleasure. And it's not all seafood! They not only boast an Italian food bar and Oriental food bar, but also seafood bars including the best crab legs I've ever tasted. Excellent food!
Want to do some shopping? Then visit the many shops at Barefoot Landing. This unique shopping area has over 100 specialty stores! There are also some more traditional shops such as Dress Barn, Waldenbooks, and Van Heusen.
So whether you are looking to bask in the sun or go shopping, Myrtle Beach is an excellent vacation destination!
