Google signed up a $900 million contract with MySpace to provide search facility and advertisement on the website. If you want to be a part of MySpace social networking community then it is mandatory for you to register first. After registering you will have to setup your profile fill in all the respective details and start inviting your friends. Below is the overview of how MySpace profile looks like.
Emotions
Emotions are widely used across several social networking websites. Users love to use these emotions because with the help of emotions a user can express his or her mood. This feature was added in July 2007 after looking at the popularity and benefits of emotions for users.
Profile Customization
Profile customization allows a user to customize his or her profile directly using the html code. Only html code was allowed and no JavaScript codes. Users were also allowed to add flash based content, music and videos to their profile with or without the help of profile customization. You can also change the default style sheet of the page and design one of yours. This feature of profile customization has recently been added by MySpace to provide more flexibility to its users. As per my knowledge, there isn't any social networking website that allows for profile customization the way MySpace allows.
Comments
Comments allow a user to post comment about his or her friend directly in their profile. These comments can be found below the User's friend area where the comment section is located. A user has the option to delete these comments and if the account is deleted then all the comments and details corresponding to the user also deleted.
Multimedia, blog and Blurbs
MySpace allows a user to add multimedia content to his or her profile. Also, user has the option to add blog to his profile where general discussion can be started. In your profile you will find 2 sections: Who I'd Like to meet To and About Me. A user profile also contains sections like interests, details, status, zodiac sign, etc. Zodiac sign and status are always visible. But, if these details are not filled by the user they will not be displayed.
