MySpace Vampires App Tips, Cheats, Tricks! Part I Introduction
Power Your MySpace Vampires Vampire Up Fast with These Tips and Tricks!
MySpace Vampires is one of those MySpace applications in which users participate and compete for fun and rankings. MySpace Vampires is set in a dark and foreboding atmosphere that sets it apart from other apps, and any fan of vampires or the undead would be right at home! Much like Mobsters, Mafia Wars, DragonWars, and the numerous other MySpace apps, the goal in Vampires is to rise in levels and power over your "enemies" by gathering together friends to help your clan stronger as a whole. Hopefully, eventually becoming the most powerful clan in the game. This means gathering BLOOD. And LOTS of it.
Before getting into the tips and tricks aspects of the game, let's take a look at the basics. This will help understand how these tips will help you level your vampire according to your play style.
Here are the key elements in the MySpace Vampires game.
Health - This is the health of your vampire and when it reaches 0 you are dead. You are too weak to attack or be attacked at under 20 health. Health has a base regeneration of 1 point per 5 minutes whether you are logged in or not.
Energy - Energy is used to perform missions. The higher the mission the more energy it takes to complete. Energy is regenerated at a base rate of 1 point every 5 minutes weather you are logged in or not.
Rage - Rage is used to attack other vampires as well as place vampires on the hitlist. Rage is regenerated at a base rate of 1 point every 5 minutes weather you are logged in or not.
Exp - you rise in levels based on the exp you earn from missions and fighting.
Blood - The almighty blood. Blood is accumulated through completing missions, winning fights, owning minions, and is what the game orientates around. Pretty much like money. Blood is used to purchase abilities, minions, hitlist hits, and more, so the more you can get the better off you are. Placing blood into the bank can protect your blood from other attacking vampires.
Bank - store your blood safely from attacking vampires - 10% deposit fee. You lose 10% of the blood deposited as a fee, but most of the time this is less than the amount that could be stolen from you if you don't bank it. I suggest getting a bank ASAP and keeping all of your blood safely tucked away unless ready to make purchases.
Missions - Do missions to gain experience and get blood. (missions cost energy) Missions are completed by clicking the do mission button in the missions menu. There are varying ranks of missions and the higher the mission the more the exp payout. This being said, missions require energy and also have clan number requirements as well as ability requirements. For instance, the "Raid a Bloodbank" mission requires that you have 7 energy to spend, have at least 2 clan members, must have at least 1 Animalistic Frenzy ability, and 1 Superhuman strength ability learned. Completing that mission would pay out 8 exp and between 2,800 and 4,600 blood. The blood drop is random and the exp is set. Also there are new missions that give rare drops of Rare Abilities.
(full explanation on Rare Abilities in next article)
Clan - Grow your clan to become more powerful! This is probably the single most important and most likey the hardest part of becoming powerful.
For someone who is just starting out this part can be confusing. Lets say that I just started playing so my clan size is 1. Each person's clan is individual to them so you cannot just join into a clan that has hundreds of members.
To increase your clan size you can either send invites or receive invites from other people who are on your friends list. If you want a large clan but do not want people on your friends list you do not know. then you can add someone to your friends list, send/receive an invite from them and then accept it, then simply remove them from your myspace friends list after they join your clan and they will remain in your clan list. They will show up in your list as "(Unknown) under Vampire-name".
One good thing to understand is that when you receive an invite from another person they are not actually asking you to join there group of players. What happens is that you will add them to your personal group and they add you to their group. So each person gains one more member. So in short, your clan only grows when you personally add someone.
If you want to grow your clan larger quickly you can also go to the Clan Recruitment page (do not post in any other spot because you will get punished by means of your blood being drained). There you can post to request members or send invites to people who are looking for members. Also, post your vampires url in the comments here and ill be happy to join your clan!
Minions - (minions give blood flow every 60 minutes) Dominate Humans for harvesting Blood! Minions are bought with blood. Minions will give you blood per hour. For instance you get 100 blood per hour for a Bum, so if you have 10 bums that is 1,000 blood per hour. You get 400 for a Park Jogger. So if you had 2 Bums and 2 Park Joggers you would get 1,000 blood per hour. Therefore your income is based on how many minions you have. There are some skills that will cost you blood per hour when you own them. So in order to keep your income positive you need to have enough minions to cover the cost. You can get into negative blood income otherwise and this is not good.
Buying minions, and how to save some blood. - When you dominate a minion the price will go up a percent every time you dominate one.
There is a way to save some blood here and I will explain how. Lets say I have dominated 10 bums in the past, this has raised the cost for the next bum up to 10, 000 to dominate. If I dominate them one at a time they would 500 more each time I buy one. So this basically means that my 11th bum would cost 10, 000 my 12th bum would cost 10, 500, 13th would cost 11, 000 and so on. This means that when you own 20 bums your cost for your 21st bum would be 15, 000. Buying them one at a time this way you would have spent 137, 500 blood. Now the only way to really save blood when buying minions is to buy either 5 or 10 at a time. When I personally just bought 10 bums at once. Paying 10, 000 per bum. The cost of my 21st bum is now 15, 000 as well. The same as if I had bought them individually. So I spent 100, 000 instead of 137, 500. You save the incremental cost of the price going up but do not reduce the amount it goes up. This may not be that much of a savings, but this is with the cheapest minion, so buying in bulk in the higher levels can save you a lot of blood.
Abilities - Gain new abilities to unlock your full potential. (Abilities cost blood) Abilities are added and calculated to your fighting stats for determining the strength of your vampire and clan. There are three categories. Offensive, Defensive, and Movement. When attacking or being attacked you will be allowed to use one of each for yourself, and one of each for each clan member you have. Make sure you buy enough abilities in each category to properly equip your clan. More on this in Fighting Section in next article.
Fights! - fight other vampires for blood and experience. (Fights require Rage.) You spend one Rage point for every Bite, Attack, or hitlist contract that you perform. See Part II of the article for detailed Fighting tips and Info.
Replenish - This enables you to replenish your health at a cost of blood from your bank. You can only replenish every few minutes so timing is key when using for fighting and you don't want to use prematurely and be stuck waiting when you really need it.
Hitlist - The hitlist is for placing other vampires onto a game-wide hitlist. Placing a vampire in the hitlist requires that you put up an amount of blood and a rage point to make the contract. When the contract is made, the vampire put on the hitlist will be listed in the hitlist page for everyone and open to attack. The vampire dealing the final blow on the hitlist vampire will collect the bounty. Note that you don't have to win the fight to deal the final damage.
Elders - This is how Myspace Vampires supports itself. The Myspace Vampire Elders give out favor points for filling out ads and questionnaires as well as signing up for services or products, websites, etc. Once verification of your sign up goes through, you will be awarded favor points." The Elders" are various advertisements for products and services that require signing up for and although a few are free most require that you use your credit card or other payment info. With Favor points you may purchase things like extra blood, energy, rage, clan members, or even change you character type or Vampire name. Note that signing up for these all require valid email address at very least. The game gives you favor points to use at the beginning of the game for free. This is the only time they will do this and any further points will require you to fulfill an ad request. Use the beginning points wisely. I would suggest either not using them at all until higher levels, or one tactic is to grab the one for 10,000 blood and immediately open a bank in the early first few levels. You will lose 1000 blood but it will be well worth it to have a bank while in the early stages to protect your up and coming vampire. If you do not spend them they will also upgrade to accommodate your level. For instance the same 10 favor points that give that 10,000 blood bonus will give you 3,378,000 blood at only level 36. You may also straight up purchase favor points with paypal through the elders interface. The current rate is 21 favor for 5 bucks, 42 favor for 10 bucks, and up to 440 favor for 100.00 dollars. Seems kind of pricey if you ask me, but to each his own. It is possible to play the game and be just as powerful and in the top rankings without ever spending favor points.
Those are the basics of the Myspace Vampires application, and what things are, and what they do.
