1. Personal Flair: Which site lets me show my personality?
Myspace definitely wins this category by a landslide. Facebook pages all look the same for the most part, but on myspace it is easy to personalize your page so that it really represents you, and what you are all about. Just glancing at a facebook page won't tell you much about a person without reading their profile answers, but some people don't like to fill those out. On myspace, you can add songs, moving animated photo albums, videos, quotes, and a backdrop with definitive style. It's really easy to personalize, even for the non-html savvy folk. I knew nothing about html before I opened a myspace, and it's actually helped me learn a little bit about that. Myspace has a blog spot where you can upload poetry, stories, artwork, or just random rambling as well as special profiles for new bands that are trying to get the word out on their music.
2. Pictures, Pictures, and More Pictures...
For those of you who love to share your digital photography, facebook does make it very easy to upload entire albums. You can even order prints from them! Myspace has begun to allow more, but it definitely takes longer because you have to upload each picture separately, and sometimes it won't accept large files. Another neat feature on facebook is that it includes in your profile any picture where you have been identified in anyone else's album. This is fun because you can see when friends add pics of you, but it also has a downside. I am a high school teacher, and I worry that my college friends might upload party pics that I wouldn't want my students to see!
3. Commenting
One interesting feature of facebook is that people get an update of what friends have been writing on each others' walls. This could be good and bad though, if you don't want certain people to know who you talk to! I would say that Myspace wins this category because of the diversity of the filetypes you can use in comments. I rarely write big personal notes on my friends' comments section, but I like to post funny pictures and videos. For me, this is one of the most important things that makes me choose myspace as my primary account. In my opinion, this makes it way more fun!
4. Finding Friends
I think it's easier to find friends on facebook because most people can be searched by their real first and last name. You can search by school, town, or groups, and search through other people's friends relatively easily. I have trouble finding who I am looking for on myspace when I search by name because most people use different profile names. This is good for security reasons, and you can still find friends through other people's pages, but facebook definitely makes it easier. It also has a section that lists what friends you have in common with your friends. I always think it's interesting when I realize two people I knew from totally different places are facebook friends.
5. Security
Although facebook lets out info about your account activity (such as whose wall you've been writing on, and when you upload new pics), I have never received spam or junk mail on that account. Sometimes I do get fake comments on my myspace that, if clicked on, will send fake spam email to all my friends. If people had the sense not to click on them, they wouldn't have as many problems. I also get some in my inbox sometimes that look suspicious. If you never accept people you don't know as friends and delete suspicious comments or emails, this is much less likely to happen.

facebook is way better.
you can link myspace and facebook now but it can be difficult to find for those new to either site :/ in my opinion i have been with myspace about 3 years now and facebook only 1 and in my opinion theres so much more to choose from and do on myspace rather than facebook...but other people have different opinions obviously
facebook is better than myspace. myspace became lame as hell
i prefer myspace only because its easy and fun.
So which do you prefer?
I agree with Jennifer. I have Myspace and I see a lot of my friends from high school use Facebook. But I don't want to have two pages. I wish they'd join together.
why dont they just join together? it would make the biggest most profitable web page EVER!!! it really would be very good! both groups would benitfit and no one would have to choose anymore! so ha! i think that i need to think into this.... :)
There is no conclusion because the question is "which is better for YOU". I leave you, the reader, to make that decision based on what you are looking for.
