Mysterious Moon

Lisa R. Strong
A bitter cold night;
Full winter moon shines brightly;
Shadowed by the sun;

My breath puffs out white;
Against the dark evening sky;
Tiny stars sparkle;

My body shivers;

Warmth is what I need;
My blanket and some hot tea;
Shelter from the cold;

Still my eyes are drawn;
To that beautiful full moon;
Thank you God, I pray.

    What a true treat, five haiku with a common theme in a single poem. Lovely and well done.

    I am very impressed. You have a true talent for these. Since I'm in Florida now, I can't relate to the cold now... :) But was watching the moon during the eclipse.
