A bitter cold night;
Full winter moon shines brightly;
Shadowed by the sun;
Full winter moon shines brightly;
Shadowed by the sun;
My breath puffs out white;
Against the dark evening sky;
Tiny stars sparkle;
Frigid is the air;
I know I cannot stay here;
My body shivers;
Warmth is what I need;
My blanket and some hot tea;
Shelter from the cold;
Still my eyes are drawn;
To that beautiful full moon;
Thank you God, I pray.
