Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst Tips, Cheats, and Hints Part 1

Mystery Case Files returned with their third installment of the series titled Ravenhearst. It is a great game but many people have had a lot of trouble solving the puzzles to unlock certain doors. This is a walkthrough of the Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst puzzles.

Parlor Door

To unlock this door you simply need to take all of the disks that represent light and put them in the left side with the sun. Now put the remaining disks which represent the moon into the right side.

Left side: sunflower, sun, sun hat, sundial, umbrella, sunglasses

Right side: flashlight, owl, moon, star, Saturn, bat

Now on either side you should notice that there are two switches. Once you have all the disks in you just need to click on each light switch to get the door open. You will be taken into the room to continue playing the game.

Be aware that taking too much time trying to open the locked doors can be a problem because the time also includes finding the clues in the other rooms and solving puzzles that come at the end of every round.

Servant's Quarters Door

On the left side of the clock you should notice a valve. Click the valve to it on and then go to the clock. Move the hands to the 9:30 position. On the top right you should be able to see a bottle opener. Click and drag it over to the purple bottle until the cap comes off. Then you need to click the red wheel twice to turn over the bottle and allow its liquid to pour out. Press the air pump next to inflate the balloon. After you press the pump a few times the balloon begins to rise in the air. Once the balloon pops you will see a new handle. Click on this handle to get the door unlocked.

Guest Bathroom Door

You will notice a tarot card on the top left of the screen. You need to click it to reveal a button with a Z on it. This will make a fortune teller appear in the booth. Now we focus on the fish and the fisherman. Click on the fisherman first and then the fish and if done correctly the fish should be hooked and tossed into a grinder. Once it is in the grinder you need to click on the yellow button to grind the fish and add it the empty slot in the slot machine.

Next play a game of tic tac toe and try to beat the computer. If you lose, simply wait and the board will clear so that you can play again. Once you win the board will break revealing a hidden lever. Pull the lever until you get 2 fish pictures to match with the fish bone. Once this happens you will get a coin that you need to click and drag over to the fortune teller coin slot. Once you drop it into the slot a piece of paper will come out and it will have a key printed on it. Drag the paper key over to the door where there is a key cut out already. The door should now be unlocked.

Quick Tips Hints

Regardless of what Mystery Case File game you are playing always remember that nothing is what it seems. If the game tells you to find a fan be aware that it could be a paper fan or an electric powered fan. Just be aware that you might look for the wrong item such as a car horn when you should be looking for a horn musical instrument.
