Mystery Google: Helps You Find What You're Not Searching For

Kim Keason
If you're really bored and playing around online with absolutely no idea on what to do then Mystery Google is for you. Mystery Google will not give you the results of what you are searching for no matter how hard you try. Instead Mystery Google will give you the search results from the person who was searching before you.

Your Mystery Google results are delivered directly from Google with the previous Googler's search on your tool bar. You may want to clear your Google bar history before the next person uses your computer depending on your search results!

I put in the search term "pumpkin pie" and got Google results for "look behind you!" That was pretty eerie but I got see eighty-one million results for whoever was searching for "look behind you!" And no, I didn't turn around, I was too afraid.

One problem with Mystery Google is that when you type in a search term and hit the enter key the website takes you to what seems to be a random webpage from the previous searcher. I got a news article about "Scrubs" and then was taken to a Myspace page. If you click on "Google Search" then you get the Google results that you weren't looking for directly from Google.

Mystery Google also has an "I'm Feeling Lucky" Google button which will take you to a webpage from the previous searcher. I found an interesting page on urbandictionary.com and an article on fungal nail infections. Neither one piqued my interest long enough to read the page.

Does Mystery Google have any real application? The only possible applications that Mystery Google may have is to let you know what people are searching for and possibly open up new queries from you if you're the curious type.

With the millions of Google searches everyday Mystery Google is not a good way to find out what trends people are searching for so that application should probably be thrown out the window. Rely on actual Google Trends for that information.

Mystery Google is just a fun way to search for things that you never knew that you wanted to know about. Try it and you may learn about: "The person who just said WIGGLYDODUMS and SNUGGLYWUGUMS in response to my qusetions about Edward Cullena and Bella Swan, are you from MLIA? If so please reply by saying" (typos and all). Yep, I'm going to go and clear my Google history now.
