I didn't arrive until around 3 AM Bangkok time and even though I was several hours late due to a delayed flight, the staff was friendly and ready to help me to my room. I got one of the cheaper rooms, paying around $47 dollars a night (1,499 THB). Mystic Place allows you to pick your own room; each has a different theme and they are all completely unique.
I chose the Power of Positive Energy hotel room in Mystic Place as it was not a cheap hotel room but also beautifully decorated. I was surprised when I arrived because it looked very close to what the pictures online displayed. It was decorated with a giant tree on the wall that previous visitors wrote notes on and had rainbow decorations throughout. I loved this room and was very happy with it when I arrived.
Each room in the Mystic Place has a Western style shower, air conditioning, TV/DVD player, free wireless internet, your own balcony (which I loved), and a coffee maker. The staff asks you every evening what breakfast you would like the next morning. You have traditional Bangkok breakfasts like Pad Thai or other Thai noodles as well as American breakfasts like eggs and bacon. I always chose the eggs and bacon and was very pleased. They also have an assortment of juices and delicious fresh fruit available each morning. Be sure to tell them when you plan on arriving to eat and your food will be nice and hot for you. This is a nice luxury for a cheap hotel room, especially when compared to an American hotel for the same price
Mystic Place in northern Bangkok is a cheap hotel with a very unique feel. Each room is decorated individually and they have beautiful styles. It is located in a very good location in Bangkok with tons of shopping nearby and with a complimentary shuttle that will take you to the BTS (the skytrain). I highly recommend Mystic Place if you are looking for a cheap hotel in Thailand and are looking to be in a nice location with a unique, one-of-a-kind room.
