Mythos Restaurant at Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida

Restaurant Review

Dining at Mythos Restaurant at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida is a thrilling experience in and of itself. Voted the "Number One Theme Park Restaurant in the World" by Theme Park Insider, Mythos Restaurant offers outstanding food in a mystical setting. Here is a review of Mythos Restaurant at Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida.

Mythos Restaurant is located in The Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure, across from Poseidon's Fury. Step inside and you will be transported into another world. Mythos boasts a fantastical storybook setting, while maintaining a rare, delightful sophistication. And the atmosphere isn't even Mythos Restaurant's greatest attribute.

Mythos serves delicious steaks, pasta and seafood dishes, salads and soups. What will really tickle your senses are the restaurant's fabulous presentations. Each dish looks like a work of art, especially the salads. The meats are cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Portions are just the right size.

Lunch at Mythos isn't too hard on the wallet. Dinner, on days it is served, is a bit more expensive, but well worth the price. Plan on spending between $11 and $30 per entree. And you will want the accompanying drinks. Especially their specialty potions. I won't reveal what's in them; you will have to discover the answer to that mystery for yourself.

Service can be a bit slow at times, but Mythos does aim to please, and the manager isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. The restaurant does encourage priority seating, and I suggest you take advantage of that, because the restaurant often fills up. (And even when it doesn't, they like to make you wait).

One other suggestion: Avoid the water rides at Toon Lagoon until after lunch at Mythos Restaurant. Otherwise, you will be ordering steaming cups of Irish coffee just to keep warm. The restaurant is kept a bit on the cool side, so bring a sweatshirt, or at least make an effort to stay dry before entering.

The hours at Mythos Restaurant vary depending on the hours of the theme park, but you will usually be safe between the hours of 11:30 and 4:30. Be sure to call ahead to be certain. If you will be in Orlando on vacation, definitely put Mythos Restaurant on your list of places to eat. It is as good as, if not better, than any restaurant Disney's theme parks have to offer. If you are an annual passholder at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure, be sure to present your ticket for ten percent off.

Good review. I try to avoid Florida anymore, have bad luck there...as for West Virginia, the regions I went to did look just like the Wrong Turn movies
