Nabisco Oreo Strawberry Milkshake Creme Chocolate Sandwich Cookies - Product Review
Another Limited Edition Flavor of 'Milk's Favorite Cookie'
I grabbed that last back of Strawberry Milkshake Oreos along with a bag of the original Oreo Chocolate Sandwich cookies that my daughter had requested and through them in my cart as I continued to shop at my local Wal-mart store.
The girls tried them out as soon as I got them home and declared them to be 'okay'.
Well, 'okay' really doesn't tell me much. So, I tried them out for myself.
As with other Limited Edition Oreo cookies I'd tried in the past, the crème was very soft and fresh. I attribute the freshness due to a limited quantity being produced and thus not being on the store shelf for an extended period of time. In this case, the strawberry crème filling, which was about the thickness of the cream found in the regular original Oreo sandwich cookies, was a light 'bubble gum' pink color and the strawberry flavor reminded me of a McDonald's strawberry milkshake. The flavor was not overly intense, but was soft, light, and mild. It went well with the regular chocolate cookie flavor of the Oreo sandwich cookie.
Since I was shopping at Wal-mart, I paid under $3.00 for 12oz. package of 24 Oreo Sandwich cookies. I believe these Limited Edition Oreo Strawberry Milkshake Crème chocolate sandwich cookies may also be found at Target and Publix grocery stores. These Strawberry Milkshake flavored chocolate sandwich cookies are not likely to be around for long and will soon go the way of the late great Oreo Limited Edition Banana Split Creme chocolate sandwich cookies. I'd definitely grab a bag if you happen to see them on the shelf!
