I was looking at what appeared to me to be a bright green box with spooky black tree branches running across it. It was a box of Nabisco SnackWell's Rich Vanilla Creme Brownie Bites. They were a bit pricey I thought. They were over $3 for a 5 pack box of 1.38oz packs of 8 brownie bites.
I hadn't intended to purchase them. I think I must have gotten distracted at put them in my cart on accident. (Something always seems to come out wrong when a babbling young person goes shopping with me.)
So they went through the checkout line with me and the rest of my groceries. I don't think I've purchased SnackWell's in years, even thought they were a very popular snack brand when they first came out years ago! They were a brand that promised less fat but still great taste.
These SnackWell's Rich Vanilla Creme Brownie Bites have a wonderful rich chocolatey brownie aroma that wafts from the bag when you pull it open. The brownie bites are very moist and pretty tasty. The vanilla cream filling tastes okay as well., The texture of the creme filling is a little different. The filling is not really what I'd describe as being creamy, rather, the filling feels sort of like white granulated sugar that's been ground extra fine and then packed back together. It' almost a 'grainy feel. Overall, I'd say that Nabisco SnackWell's Rich Vanilla Creme Brownie Bites taste pretty good and could satisfy a brownie craving if you were having one., However, like most SnackWells snacks' I taste the difference in the reduction of fat. It's not a bad thing, they still taste good and I'd keep them on hand for everyday snacking.
