I bought a 20-cracker (10 serving box) of Nabisco Wheat Thins Flatbread Tuscan Herb Crackers for $2.50 at a Central Florida Sweetbay Supermarket in February 2010.
Flavor
When I first popped one of the nearly 5-inch-long crackers into my mouth, the first thought I had was that these Nabisco Wheat Thins Flatbread Tuscan Herb Crackers taste just like a savory Italian wheat bread. Have you ever had an Italian bread with herbs, sesame seeds, and all the "crusty" stuff on the bread? That's what these Wheat Thins Flatbread crackers taste like.
I didn't try these Wheat Thins crackers with any toppings, like cream cheese or cheese spread, the first time I tried them - just the plain cracker itself. These crackers also provide a satisfying crunch, should you care about that type of thing.
These Wheat Thins Flatbread crackers are really very tasty, but they are also particularly crumbly, so be sure to have a plate under them as you eat. These are the types of crackers that would produce little crumbs all over the carpet lying under a little social gathering, so make sure you have a little stack of paper plates next to these crackers should you offer the Nabisco Wheat Thins Flatbread crackers at your next house party.
Packaging
I thought I should devote a paragraph or two to the Nabisco Wheat Thins Flatbread cracker packaging.
Primarily, I should tell you that the packaging could be a little better designed so that it seals up tightly. The box has a portal in the front to show off the crackers contained inside, but this portal creates a freshness breach once the cellophane plastic wrap surrounding the crackers is open. And, as you imagine, when that cellophane tears, it really tears.
Kudos, though, to Nabisco for the durable, high-quality hard plastic tray holding these Wheat Thins Flatbread crackers inside! I suggest upon opening these crackers you have a plastic zip-style food bag ready to contain the hard plastic cracker tray, because these crackers simply won't stay fresh in the cardboard box once you open the cellophane.

A single serving of Nabisco Wheat Thins Flatbread crackers is two crackers. Here's a look at the nutritional label based on one serving.

Post a CommentHad them with hummus the other day and they were fabulous. Like them so much we put all kinds of goodies on top and everyone loved them! No problem with crumbling and they have a great flavor. Stored them in a ziplock and they stayed nice and fresh!
Crackers wonderful but packaging is awful. Out of 20 flatbread crackers in the package only 5 were in one piece, not broken. Didn't make for very pretty appetizers when I wanted to use the recipe on the box.
I'm eager to try these. Thanks for the tip about how crumbly they are. I appreciate your honesty!
I've seen these and wondered if they were worth the $. Thanks for the review!
