Naked Well Being Juice Smoothie in Berry Blast

The Pen
I've been changing my eating habits by eating more fruits and vegetables. I actually wanted to start making my own juices, but I have yet to buy a juicer.. So, in the meantime, I figured drinking juices by the Naked brand would be the next best thing. I've been buying their juices a lot lately. One of the kinds I recently tried was the Well Being Juice Smoothie in Berry Blast.

Even though this juice is called Berry Blast, the first ingredient listed is apple juice, then banana puree, strawberry puree, blackberry puree, raspberry puree, and natural flavors.

The label actually breaks down the ingredients further and says that the juice contains exactly 5 blackberries, 4 raspberries, 4 strawberries, 3 and a half apples, and one half of a banana.

Taste of
Naked Well Being Juice Smoothie in Berry Blast

I really should've known that this wasn't going to taste like a Berry Blast, with the measly 13 berries that were added to this juice. Yet I still hoped that I would like it. But after one sip of this juice I was a bit disappointed.

Naked's Berry Blast didn't taste awful, but it didn't knock my socks off either. It tasted quite bland for $3.59, and it mostly tasted like apple juice. Yet it also had a powdery and thick smoothie-like texture because of the banana puree.

Finally it had a hint, and only a hint, of extra sweetness to it because of the berries. But the berry flavor wasn't strong enough to overpower the apple taste, so it reminded me of some sort of apple-banana flavored baby food drink. It really was just blah.

In the End...

This juice was just ok, but a blast it was not. The title Berry Blast led me to believe that it would have a strong berry flavor, but apple juice was the main ingredient. I think the Naked Juice Company should have included more berries or they should just rename this juice Apple Blast or something. I really didn't like it so I probably wouldn't buy this flavor again. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.
