Nancy Canfield is One of AC's Funniest Writers

Do You Need a Laugh to Start Off Your Day?

Shana Dines
Are you having a hard day? Do you need a little humor in your life? When the woes of everyday life start to get you down just read some of Nancy Canfield's humor. I am getting ready to go teach my watercolor class. I am not really thrilled to know that now, if I don't want to be diabetic that I am going to have to lose some weight and take this whole healthy life thing more seriously.

I don't smoke, drink, use drugs or live a 'loose life," ha, like that is much of an option at 60, although if I wanted to I could. What I am saying is that I really do live a pretty clean, good life. I like living my life the way I do. I feel pretty good about myself, except for this one thing, food. Don't take my food away.

My doctor, who is a wonderful, humorous fellow, also fights the weight issue. He is very kind and understanding. He doesn't berate me for not being a healthy weight. He does let me know that it isn't fair and that it is a concern, considering that I am now dangerously close to being diabetic. I used to be able to get away with it, not anymore. Weight is no longer an issue of vanity alone it is now an issue of health.

I know, I know, I have gotten completely off of track. I wanted to recognize Nancy Canfield. She always makes me laugh. Nancy is funny, my age, and very, talented. She writes about her everyday life in her outrageously funny style. She should be a best seller with her humor and sharp wit. She is not afraid to laugh at herself and relates to other women who are in the same boat. Please take the time to visit her if you haven't' already. Nancy will get your day off to a good, uproariously, funny start.

Nancy's articles are not only funny but so is her poetry. I especially loved this poem that I read this morning. Her descriptions of doing yoga, among other things that would be ordinary are hilarious when Nancy writes about them. Her relationship with her sister and family will have you in stitches.

I am now off to slay my dragons for the day and to resist the evil temptations of sugar and carbs, one day at a time. www.associatedcontent.com/article/2841736/staying_abreast.html

I am sooo sorry for keeping her tied up so many hours that she has not had a chance to write her humor!!!! I miss it immensely, but I have been very lucky to have a daily dose of it first-hand!!!! You had better keep checking back soon because her stories, coming up, are gonna be some real side-busting ones!!!!!
