Nancy Drew Curse of Blackmoor Manor - Tips and Tricks

Nancy Drew goes to Blackmoor Manor because her neighbor is worried about her daughter Linda who was recently married to Hugh Penvellyn. Since moving in to Blackmoor Manor, Linda has been ill and no one knows what to do to help her. Linda also refuses to see anyone. Nancy Drew goes to the manor to solve the mystery of Linda's illness and try to find out what other secrets are lurking about Blackmoor. The entire game takes place in Blackmoor Manor.

Where are the different character rooms?

In this Nancy Drew game, different characters are usually in the same room all the time. The exception would be Jane's tutor.

Nancy's Room - Last bedroom left of the staircase, it has moon symbols around the door frame.

Jane's Room - Jane is the only child in the game and can always be found in her bedroom. Jane's bedroom is the one next to Nancy Drew's room and it has a red button on the door frame.

Linda's Room - The first bedroom that is left of the staircase is Linda's room. Next to Linda's room is a gargoyle statue.

Nigel - On the first floor in the great hall will be wooden, double doors that lead to a library. In the library is where Nancy will find Nigel.

Mrs. Drake - On the second floor, right of the staircase is a bedroom that has flowers on the door. That is Mrs. Drake's bedroom but Nancy will never find her there. Try not to knock on Mrs. Drakes bedroom door at night time. Mrs. Drake will come out and fire Nancy and game over. To find Mrs. Drake, go to the first floor and in the great hall look for a metal door. That metal door leads to a conservatory and Mrs. Drake can be found there in most of the game.

LouLou - LouLou is a parrot who can answer some of Nancy's questions. LouLou can be found in a covered cage far right of the staircase.

What is Alan's computer password?

In the great hall there are a lot of portraits from older generations of Penvellyn's. Look for the portrait of Alan Penvellyn and the words below his crest say: I Purgamentum Exit I. Type the entire phrase or just the word Purgamentum to continue the game.

How do I find LouLou's password or secret code?

After LouLou asks for a password, go down to the Conservatory and speak to Mrs. Drake who will remember the password and tell Nancy. Go back to LouLou and Nancy will give LouLou the secret password.

What are the correct ingredients for LouLou's cake?

To make LouLou's special cake first be sure to avoid adding salami or avocado. Those two ingredients will kill the parrot and Nancy will get fired. The ingredients to add are blueberries, salsa, mixed nuts, mealworms, crackers, lettuce and mixed beans.

How do I use the clock in Nancy's bedroom?

Next to Nancy's bed is a clock that will allow Nancy to change the time of day. The other occupants in the Manor wake up early so set the alarm for 6am. To speak with Jane the clock has to be set for 2pm. That is the time she will be finished with her schoolwork. Try to talk to Jane before then and the tutor will not let you in Jane's room.
